Imran Khan versus PML-N
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has revealed his assets and said that all his assets are under his name and in Pakistan. Imran Khan said that if anyone can prove that he has lied, cheated or if he has any other assets, then he will leave politics.
It was also a brave move by Imran to announce that he earned Rs 20 million through the Cricket World Cup but it was not taxable according to a law drafted by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif in 1992, which states that all money coming from abroad would be tax-free.
In reply, opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that PTI should stop doing media trials and to check the assets of politicians, the Supreme Court should form a committee.
I do not understand why the PML-N is not moving a bill in parliament through which all the assets of the politicians would be scrutinised and those found with illegal assets banned from contesting elections for life.
